At ALFA, we believe that our seniors should maintain their dignity, and have discerned autonomy – when staying in an assisted living facility. This is why we have come up with a Good Practice Guide for Assisted Living Facilities, that was published in 2019.
Experts who were recently interviewed for their views on the assisted living pilot by HDB agree on this, with Dr Angeline Seah (head of Geriatric Medicine at KTPH) commenting that the assisted living model “plugs the physical, cognitive or psychological needs of seniors”.
